Student Support

There are many different places you can go to for support and advice. Often they can help, but you can also go to the RAC Welfare Officer or. All students have the support of their College Tutor. There are also specialist support services available, for example for students with, or in need of.
The College provides pastoral and welfare support to all its members.

Any college member can see the Senior Tutor if they have something they wish to discuss.  Please e-mail him/her to arrange a time
or speak to Mr. Mukesh, College Officer . The Student Support Officer, is available to see members during office hours. Please email Mr. Mukesh, telephone, or come into the office to make an appointment.
All new students are allocated a College Tutor, most of whom are current or former members of staff at the college. Tutors are there to help students settle into living and studying in RAC and make the most of their time here.
At RAC, all new students are allocated a College Tutor, to help them get used to living and studying in RAC. College Tutors are usually former or current members of staff in the college, so know the city and the college well. Many of them also have experience of living or working overseas, or of postgraduate study.

About Roorkee
Roorkee is a small town situated 30 km. south of Himalayan range and is in district Hardwar of the state of Uttarakand, India. It is considered to be the gateway to pilgrimage centers of many renowned places like Hardwar, Rishikesh, Kedarnath, Badrinath and hill stations of Dehradun and Mussoorie. It is well connected by roads: NH-58 from New Delhi, the capital of India, the distance being 200 kms. There are frequent and regular bus services, deluxe / ordinary throughout the day until midnight, from Interstate-Bus-Terminus (ISBT), New Delhi. Taxi services is also available from Indira Gandhi International Airport and ISBT etc. Road transport services between Delhi and Dehradun and between Delhi and Hardwar run though Roorkee. It is also connected by rail on the Amritsar - Howrah line.

Roorkee, the historic town, is a well known educational & research center with the Indian Institute of Technology, Central Building Research Institute, National Institute of Hydrology, Irrigation Research Institute, College of Engineering and Army's Bengal Engineering Group. It is situated at the foothills of Himalayas. During winter (in December - January) the temperature falls up to 4 degree C while during summer (in May and June) it rises up to 40 degree C
